Subpar Bake Off

It’s a universal truth that Great British Baking Show (aka Bake Off) is the most delightful show on the planet. A beautiful blend of charming and low-stakes competition, it’s that feel good show that warms even the coldest of biscuits.

So where do Ashley and Will come into the recipe? It all happened one day when Ashley called up Will and asked him if he was a good baker (his answer was no, and neither is Ashley). From there, they decided to watch episodes of GBBS and attempt to bake the Technical Challenge: the hardest of baking endeavors.

Every episode of Subpar Bake Off includes:

  • A recap of a particular GBBO episode

  • A blind taste test of Ashley and Will’s attempt at the Technical Challenge for that episode (judges award up to 5 golden bundts for each bake)

  • The ‘Ello Govna’ Award: an award that goes out to the most British moment of the episode
